Trevor Turner - Spiral
Overview
In early 2024, Trevor Turner returned for a second collaboration, this time for his EP Spiral and a promotional single cover. I developed three cover concepts for the EP, refined the chosen design, and adapted it for the single.
Approach
Turner described Spiral as a journey from soft to heavy—"spiraling out of control"—with atmospheric, psychological themes. I translated this into a striking visual: a silhouette of Turner with a missing section of his head, dramatically spiraling outward.
To enhance the psychological feel, I set the typography sideways, making it feel warped and unsettling. Bold white space created strong contrast, drawing focus to the figure, while a custom glitched pattern added texture and a surreal edge, tying everything together.
